Published in 2002 and reprinted.
An outstanding book of bird photography linked to a
commentary by a true countryman. Chris Knights farms in Norfolk and is one of
the prime movers for the conservation of the rare stone curlew. Without his
early intervention this fantastic bird could have become extinct in East Anglia
– but Chris Knights saw the problems and helped to solve them. Although a
farmer, Chris is also one of the top wildlife photographers in Britain. He has
won the prestigious title “Bird Photographer of the Year” on three occasions
and has travelled the length and breadth of the country watching and
photographing wildlife.
He is Vice-Chairman of the Countryside Restoration Trust and
Robin Page writes: “What others have done with paint and brush, Chris Knights
has done with camera. The result is a stunning book that will enthral and
delight all those with a love for wildlife, the countryside and farming”.
